Nokia 6288: Brick after firmware update. Help please?

Hey Crew 
Been awhile i know but could do with some help here
Now have myself a Nokia 6288 and in all my wisdom *or so i thought* i went to update the firmware - 5.4 - 6.1 if i remember rightly
Anywho something funky happened with my windows machine and low and behold rebooted - alas i now have a bricked phone and cant turn it on
Any suggestions as to recovery?
