K800i is Tri-band. Versus the K790s Quad-Band.

They're actually both tri-band. Only difference being, the K800 lacks the 850 band.

790 also does not have front vga camera..

the front camera wouldn't be of much use, since the k800 doesn't support us 3g. i dont think you can use it to take pictures either.

K790
no 3G, but has EDGE
2 variations (a: 850; c/i: 900)
K800
has basic UMTS 2100, no EDGE
only K800i (UMTS 2100, GSM 900/1800/1900)
has front cam

i think the k790 would be better in north america. but they're both same to me other than the reception on the k790 is a little better than the k800.
