I need to buy a card to ship to my friend in Malta, since almost nobody ships there. I don't have a Kaiser myself so no good way of testing. Any brands/models that are guaranteed to be compatible with the Kaiser?

yes they will work ive used sandisk and a kingston one i believe and have had no issues

Yup, most should work. Sandisk and Corsair for example have always worked for me.
