MDA Wi-Fi Dead

I don't know how or when it happened, but my T-mo MDA won't turn on the Wi-Fi. Every time I try, the "waiting" icon comes on, then it goes off and Wi-Fi is still off.

Any ideas for a fix? I'm seriously thinking of getting an unlocked Tytn II or an S730 Smartphone as a replacement.

Haha GOOD LUCK trying to find and answer. I have the same problem right now with my MDA. You still on WM5? I have been on the phone with T-Mobile's customer care probably 2 hours combined about this problem, been on xda posting about it, and even been on the phone with HTC. No one can seem to have a solution aside from a "warranty exchange" which I don't think is possible given the phone is about 3 years old now

Yeah, I'm guessing the Wi-Fi radio is dead. This is the 2nd MDA I've had--they did a warranty exchange, but this one only had a 90 day warranty--long expired. I'm not DESPERATE for the Wi-Fi--Edge/GPRS works OK for most things. But I don't like it to not work.

Yea I know. It is time for me to get a new phone but I keep procrastinating. I don't want to buy a phone, have 3G come to my area, and have to buy another phone capable of it. Plus, I would hope T-Mobile pops out another good PDA for 3G (possibly the tilt).
