Nokia 3595- GPRS

Hi-
I recently purchased and have been using an older Nokia 3595 (unlocked) branded AT&T wireless or the "old at&t". I have not yet been able to set-up the GPRS on this phone. I have a new at&t SIM-card (3G). I have ordered various settings from the Nokia website with no success.
It has been suggested the reason I cannot use the GPRS on this phone is due to the fact that the phone is branded "AT&T Wireless" and I'm using a new at&t SIM-card. Anyone know if this is the case or if I need to re-enter settings?
Thanks for any help!

If it was an old AT&T phone the settings will have to be changed just do a search on HoFo, you'll find them.

As was discussed in the other forums AT&T/Cingular Nokia 3595 phones have a different menu setup from the AT&T Wireless version.

Some of the settings can be modified and some cannot. You might have to create a new connection and enter the correct information, if possible. It might be simpler to buy the cheapest GoPhone with GPRS capability than try to restore a dinosaur.
You will also have to modify the MMS setting if you intend to send those type messages.

I am partial to my Pantech C120 for media net. It is on sale for $20 at the go phone site right now. Too bad you were not looking at Christmas, I bought mine for $15 (shipping and $10 in minutes included).

if the the phone was unlocked then it has to re-entered

Way to keep it oldschool! I loved that phone so much.
I had the clear faceplate, hard bubble keypad, and the LED lights around the side on mine..

Yea- truly a great phone although I wish it had Bluetooth... Oh well, what it lacks in features it makes up for in battery life and reception and overall durability.
Oh, turns out the GPRS wasn't enabled on my at&t account...suppose you should check the most obvious first.
