Bars across texts, tasks and other windows?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I've installed a few apps and all went went until I noticed bars going across the screen when I go into texts and tasks other other similar windows. Does anyone know what this is from? Is it possible to get a virus on your PPC? I've got an HTC PPC6800/Mogul, if that helps.

Any ideas?

*UPDATE*

It's ONLY 'Tasks', 'Text Messages' and 'E-Mail' that's affected by the lines across the screen. They're horizontal lines running right through the text and it makes it pretty hard to read. Also, if I apply the stock skins (Windows Mobile Green & Windows Default) there are no lines at all and everything works like it should. Why are the custom themes not showing up like they should in those three windows?

I found them a couple years ago on my early WM devices.

You can find a program called UItweak for wm devices and under its settings which there are many, you can set the,"right side text".

This is the culprit, and it works, took me a long time to figure it out.

Other option, use very simple themes, however Uitweak can set the top an bottom bars to be totally black,so i use it alot.

Google it.

Thank you for the reply. I actually had UI Tweaker installed this whole time, but I don't see what you mean as far as a 'General Settings' goes, and 'Right Side Text'. Could you be a little more clear as to what you meant there?

Thanks for your (or anyone else who's had this problem) help.

GO under today sceme changer, then to standard colors.

In the list look for Normal notification title color right. and set it to white.

It may also need the critical text notification one done too, its just below it, then the bars across your screen in text messaging an emails should be gone.

Peace
