The Germans have just completed work on an iPhone killer. It will ship in the thrid quarter 2008 and is a world class GSM product.

At first blush it beats the iPhone in every way. It also includes a powerful GPS with proven killer GPS software.

I suspect it will cost around $800 based on other leading products from this German company but it may be cheaper.

Now go figure out what company this is and retrieve the first pictures of this unique cell phone that out features the iPhone. This information is all on the web.

Yeah, the IPhone is rather feature poor....

No Wireless sync....can't even call it a proper PDA without this!
No Office support....you can read, but not edit Word, Excel docs, etc.
No 3G
No video recording
No video messaging
No pic messaging
No user swappable batteries
No MMS
No iChat/IM
No voice dialing...are we kidding?
No Bluetooth A2DP
No Browser plug-ins/Flash/Javascript
No tethering as modem to laptop.

Next time you walk through an airport notice what phones folks are using....lots of kids are on Iphones....but the serious business users are NOT on Iphones because it does not have the needed functionality.

it's a resistive touchscreen and it's not flush to the phone, so it will probably be stylus-based. From the mockup that has been floating around the internet, it looks like an iPhone rip, but only time will tell. And whats the deal with people thinking that the iPhone needs killing? It's not like it's dominating anything? Apple sure does know how to advertise...

Meh. It's a GPS that makes calls. S60 Touch is being unveiled at the same event next month.

My 2007 MIO 530C GPS makes calls through my iPhone using a blue tooth connection. It also plays movies and audio books. It is almost like an iPod.

I had Garmin for years they make good products, but they are not cheap unless you guy the real low end.

BTW here are pictures of the Gamin Nuvifone.

I don't think it will be like my little portable 'plasma screen' i phone. The iPhone has one extra bright vivid display.
