Is anyone else having a problem using EDGE in the Chicago area this morning? I'm trying to figure out if it's the network or my iPhone that's having a problem. I keep getting "Could not activate EDGE" error. It started this morning.

I too am having issues....."cannot activate edge" is message I get if i attempt to load safari, email, weather. There seems to be an outage in Chicago this morning.

I agree, at least I have determined it was not just my phone which at first was my worry. Hoping at&t gets this fixed sooner then later today. And I wonder how many other states are down?

Do you think it could be weather related? I'm in Jersey, but I am seeing reports of some extreme weather. Though, I would imagine that that is nothing new for Chicago.

The weather was much worse yesterday than this morning and it worked fine then. I commuted from WI to Chicago in lovely weather and couldn't get a signal anywhere along the route.

I just got an email saying that AT&T Blackberry and data services are out nearly nation wide, also.

Yesterday the last site I visited was the iphonenetworktest.com site....when I opened Safari just now, it's telling me the server stopped responding after trying to connect for about 30 seconds or so....its never said that before...is that what everyone's seeing? Usually my pages load up pretty quick

I saw GA was recorded for the outtage, but I've been sitting in the ATL airport for several hours trying to get back home to Chicago which is experiencing bad weather. iPhonenetworktest has been reporting EDGE speeds here between 200 and 215 all day. Pretty good.

I was on a 2PM EST that is now slated for 5:50P departure but it keeps slipping another 20-30 mins everytime I check flight status. The aircraft is here in ATL, it's just delayed taking off.

The airport is FILLED.....looks like all flights heading into Midwest are delayed about 3+ hours. I imagine it will only get worse once evening hits.
