Blackjack ii mic problem

Does anyone know if the microphone on the BJii is the same as the BJi? I am not worried about the ribbon as I will desolder it, but really want to know if the metal can on the end of the ribbon is the same. It would make sense for Samsung to keep dev costs down by reusing as much as possible from the BJi, but that's just an assumption. Anyone know?
