I just got a P1i I ordered on the Internet. I chose UK English during the setup but everything else seems to me in Chinese. I can't enter any text because the only text input and keyboard layout available is Chinese. All the other settings are Hong Kong so I guess it came from there.

How can I change the main language on the phone? I would like either US English or UK English language and text input virtual keyboard.

My version is:

Phone: CXC162037 R9J005
Organiser: CXC162156 R6F41
CDA: CXC162024/74 R10A

hey, i read your old post on P1i text input/language settings. DID yu ever get help for that? i am going crazy with my language settings - does not switch to uk english, only texts as hong kong/chinese? How can i switch that setting? please help?
