Only one side of the speaker works?

I was listening to music on the speaker the other day and i noticed that the sound only comes though the left group of holes below the phone. Is this normal? Perhaps each side is for different uses? I'm worried i have a defective phone... but maybe its supposed to be like this. Thanx for the help.

Sorry to rant OP, but honestly this question pops up about once every 2 weeks... and it just amazes me that people can't seem to be bothered to do even a minimal amount of research, like reading their user manual.

I love how companies put their manuals online. Now we can say RTFM and leave the other person with no excuse. Who is it that has the answer to this very question as their signature?
