Tried searching but couldn't find a answer to my problem. For some reason webpages don't load for me after my iPhone is left alone for a while. For example if I browse some webpages, then keylock the phone and go do something else, the browser won't respond if I want to resume from where I left off. The page would just continue to load then display a error. But if I just reload the page, or cancel and reload then EDGE would respond and the site would load up. Anyone have any idea what's going on?

I have a Tmo Curve and EDGE on Tmo is, for me anyways, FAR less reliable/speedy than EDGE on AT&T. I'd get timeouts, hangs, partial pages, etc. It was like this on my Curve, the Blackberry 8800 and my old MDA, all with Tmo service. I'm pretty sure it was Tmo and not the devices since I experienced the same thing on all three. Some cities were better than others.

AT&T Edge, thus far, is peppy and pretty reliable. I'm liking it FAR more than Tmo.

I thought I read somewhere that if you leave the browser, the iPhone would just stop sending and receiving the requests. In my personal experience with the phone thus far ( a week + or -), I `ve found this to be the case (?)

What seems to work is if I want to start browsing, check mail (Gmail) first to get the "initial" connection. Then Safari would have no problems loading any pages. Also if I'm typing something in the browser, such as responding to a post on HoFo, the connection seem to die also. I would have to refresh to get the connection again.

As far as the speed of EDGE, its pretty fast and I'm able to load HoFo or other websites within 10 seconds, give or take a few. Its just really irritating that I have to re-establish this connection with T-Mobile's EDGE network.
