I used a test point tool on my v3i and now it doesn't come on at all. Any ideas?

What exactly do you mean "testpoint tool"?

It is a small device with a button on it. It plugs into the ribbon cable connector on the motherboard. With the phone disassembled, you hold the button in and touch the battery to it for a few seconds and the procedure is done. Now my phone wont do anything. I read good reviews about this device before I bought it on eBay.

Yeah, I know that button but you stated that you press the button, touch the battery for a few seconds and the procedure is done. I do believe that the button is used instead the old wired one whereas you wouldn't have to cut a piece of shield off the motherboard to get to the testpoint and instead just press the button. That is the only difference though, you still need to unlock it via tespoint using an unlocker like Smart Clip or another like it. You cannot just press the button and touch the battery and it will simply unlock your phone.

The phone was already with my carrier. The problem with the phone was that it stayed in the open mode all the time, even when closed. I tried the motherboard on another phone and it did the same thing. That eliminated the magnetic switch as a problem.
