Going to Athens Greece for about 3 weeks. Will be bringing an unlocked Motorola V361 (tri-band) with 1800Mhz for Europe. Will need to use phone for local (Athens) calls and a daily call to Montreal Canada. No need for messaging or anything else. Probably about 20-30 minutes a day. I heard the best way was to purchase a prepaid card/sim when I arrive in Greece. Any companies/plans I should looks for...for the best value?

I also read somewhere that incoming calls are free? Even from Canada? Is that correct?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

All incoming calls will be free if you use a Greek SIM card, including calls from Canada.

I go to Greece once a year. Go to Vodophone store and purchase pay as you go sim card. About 20 Euro's . This will give you around 8 euro left on your acount. So you may want to buy more time depends on usage. You can charge your card at any Vodophone (Which is everywhere) or any kiosk. Also Greece uses both 900mhz/1800mhz and 3G 2100. Hope this helps
