I just ordered a touch cruise (for some reason I was drawn to it). Is there a big learning curve with this phone? I own an iphone and N95 8GB but am not at all familiar with HTC devices as this will be my first one.

Is there anywhere someone can point me for the best apps for these types of devices?

Im in pretty much the exact same boat as you. I'm a N95-1 user since may of 07 but had always wanted a Pocket PC. The HTC touch cruise seemed to be the phone for me to take the plunge into the pocket pc world. (I always want the lastest and greatest)

I still have to wait for the TC to arrive (estimated shipping dates the 11th) but ive been reading as much about it as i can on the web and a good place to find links to apps and peoples opinions seems to be here:

Hope it helps and let me know how u like the HTC TC!

WM has probably the biggest learning curve of all the platforms right now. It's far from simple, but you can do so much with it. For example, Linux is very versatile, but has a big learning curve to utilize it.

The basic features should be fine however -- it's learning to customize that's hard.

It has improved. The older WM5 you have to goto task manager to close programs. (In which i thought it was always a pain in the ***!) The current WM6 professional you can choose to end the app when you exit it or hold the X and it'll end it.

Even when I first got WM i thought it easy to use, I find other platforms more difficult to ise, like S60., and Linux.

Hey J-Dub what phone do you have your eye on?

Really? Well I guess it just took me a long time to master it.

Maybe the Touch Cruise, but there's nothing out there right now I really want. I kind of feel like going back to a QWERTY candybar if a good one shows up.

What about you?
