Hi,

I just bough a HTC TOUCH. I saw on a forum a software or a registry cleaner hack that remove useless software or entry in the registry, and by the way increase battery.

Do you know wich software is it ?

Do you have cool softwares you would recommand to me ? I'm looking for a mp player with a playlist (something like Winamp).

Try out PHM for a reg editor, its pretty good and free. You can use the reg editor to change reg values to increase battery life.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\AsyncMac1\Parms]
Default value type and value are
“DisablePowerManagement”=dword:1
Change to
“DisablePowerManagement”=dword:0

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\Irsir1\Parms]
Default value type and value are
“DisablePowerManagement”=dword:1
Change to
“DisablePowerManagement”=dword:0

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\PPTP1\Parms]
Default value type and value are
“DisablePowerManagement”=dword:1
Change to
“DisablePowerManagement”=dword:0

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\L2TP1\Parms]
Default value type and value are
“DisablePowerManagement”=dword:1
Change to
“DisablePowerManagement”=dword:0

This is from ppcgeeks.com (sorry was going to link but ppcgeeks wasn't work at the time for me at least)

Also I recommend these programs: touchpal, cube config tool, advance config, a new file explorer (resco), HTC home customizer,sipchange, vista cube 2 (pollen's work) and there is probably more just can't think of them. I use all of these on mine and can't live without them now.

Most of these can be found on http://forum.xda-developers.com/ and http://ppcgeeks.com/ if I had more time I would look up the links for you. Too bad you can't attach files in your post like those other to sites I posted above. Good luck and feel free to ask more questions.

Do you know web sites like this one ? Or a torrent web site where i can find software, but some informations about this software too. That way, i can learn and download.

I couldn't find this in my reg. I got the first one done, but reset it to what it originally was because I didn't want to start doing it, only to have it not work (or worse, mess something up) because not all the steps were finished.

The closest thing I have to that entry is "irsir," but it only has a string "displayname."
