Samsung Blackjack Cingular Media Issue

I have a Sumsung blackjack which I use strictly for the phone capablities - not for internet usage. So recently my bill says that I have outgoing data (MediaExpress) transferring 60-100KB at around 2AM every morning. Problem is that I am not using it at 2AM - it is sitting on the counter charging. I called Cingular and they basically called me a liar and tried to sell me an internet package. My only other option was to have all internet usage blocked - which means I cannot use text messaging---so I have blocked all internet usage. Has anyone had this happen to them or can anyone offer a explanantion to what is happening?

Internet blocking does not affect SMS only MMS.

Thanks for the information.
The Cingluar floor supervisor told me I would have no text messaging capabilities, but he wasn't too nice or helpful to begin with.
