ActiveSync with MSOutlook

I'm having trouble with the ActiveSync for my Tilt/Tytn II. The story goes as follows:

I've got two different calendars set up in my Outlook. My partner is the primary user and by default, his calendar is the primary one - which will be the calender that syncs automatically.

Is there a way to set the ActiveSync to only sync with the second calendar? The only option I've had recommended to me is that I should build a separate profile in Outlook and then I *might* have the option of one or the other...

Any help would be a life-saver, as my schedule is confined to my Treo 680 and my PC until then.

Thanks in advance,
Edinone

You get at most, two choices for the source of sync data ...
(a) an exchange server or
(b) a local pc

even if you have both of these choices available to, you must choose between the two options to determine which data is sync'd to your dash

For example, you could setup an account on mail2web and choose to sync mail and calendar data from mail2web to your dash

then, you could sync other data from your PC to the dash ... things like contacts, favorites

you cannot sync a single data destination from two sources ... i.e. have a calendar on the exchange server and a separate calendar on the pc and sync both to the dash for a combined calendar

I'm not trying to sync two different calendars. Only one - but not the primary one... which is where the trouble lies.

My business partner and I share Outlook, but we have two different calendars running side-by-side. When we both had Treo 680s, we were able to set up in the "hot-sync" application - two different profiles, each one targeting and downloading from our respective calendars... not both.

It seems that you cannot distinguish between calendars in the "active-sync" application for the Tilt... you get the choice of "calendar." Singular. For everything else (ie. tasks, contacts, etc.), it's fine because we share them all. Now, I'm not too computer-savvy, so I don't really understand all the mail2web stuff.

I'm sorry if I misunderstood or misread what you had posted...

Thanks for any help - again.

Mail2web.com

It works great, i use it an love it.

It can agregrate email from other email account you may have an push them to you in real time.

You can also link your calender at mail2web with another user doing the same, ie your partner, he can sync with your pc an mail2web, you can sync with mail2web an sync with his calender there if you like.

Really nice thing about mail2web, is its an exchange server, and your contacts, calender an email etc will always be there, so if you have to wipe your handset for any reason on the road, you can re-enter your settings to mail2web an sync all your data back on the road.

Shameless plug for them, i just use thier services, no affiliation at all.

Since i discovered mail2web, i do not sync with my pc at home anymore, i really dislike activesync behavoir when plugged into a pc, constantly resyncing when nothing was changed.

I digress verbosely, sorry, goto mail2web.com and sign up an follow the directions to sync to them.

Peace

I have heard of on application I believe called chapura that will allow you to sync your public folders. If you create a calendar in your outlook public folders you can use chapura to sync them to your phone.

Here is a link http://www.chapura.com/pmp_wm.php

you only need one calendar. Create a category for each of you, and use the filter in Calendar to pull up just yours (or his, or both...).
