Network/email any better after 2 years?

I left the Sidekick platform ~2 years ago because the Network and Email servers were unreliable.
I'm thinking of buying a Sidekick again and wondered what the network and email situation was.
Interested in feedback from those who were Sidekick users back then and remember the constant server outages we had...
Are things any better or do they still go down on a weekly/monthly basis? Does Danger/T-Mobile still give the same slimey non-answers about when it will be back up?
TIA

It sucked then, it still sucks now. I have my gmail forwarded to my tmail so it's pushed and never have or had any problems with that. But everything else is still poo.

I had a couple of hiptops for 3 years I have never had any poblems with
connections or emails, in fact it was my prioraty source of email.
I did notice however that one of the devices for some reason would not alow incoming from Rogers.
and the other no problem.
One was on Fido network and the other on Rogers network.

That's a different set of Danger servers. And there surely isn't the amount of Fido Hiptop users as there are T-Mobile Sidekick users eating up all the bandwidth. Way too many bottlenecking through Dangers weak servers. Time for an upgrade fellas.

Other than the gmail thing (I just set a forward) I didn't have problems. I was back on my SK2 for about a year and never once had any outages (ATL) of any significant length. I am actually coming back to the platform as it suits the way I multitask better than the UIQ OS.
