Zibri has posted a link to anySIM 1.3 (unlocks baseband 4.03_13_g on BL 3.9) on his blog.

Apparently this is a leak, and not an official release... so it still might have some bugs.

With that said... any guinea pigs?

He developed it with the dev team. They probably weren't ready for a release yet, but he jumped the gun.

hard to know who to listen to here. but the iphone channel on irc.osx86.hu says the anysim for 1.1.3 is not finished and to not use it. best thing, as usual, may be to simply wait and see what the outcome is. except of course, as to OP said, for the guinea pigs.

This is an open source IPSF unlock, which means you do it *once*, ever. Not like anySim with every firmware upgrade.

Run the IPSF unlock once, and done. Next firmware? Just jailbreak and (h)activate

from what i understand that is correct. im very much looking forward to seeing if it is successful, but not sure i've got the courage or knowledge to try geohotz method myself quite yet! heh

Well if you have a 3.6 bootloader a baseband downgrade/virginize makes it a 'safe' venture. Worst case you downgrade/virginize the baseband you pooched...

At this point, a free IPSF unlock is totally the way to go -- rather than supporting anySim further IMHO.

If geohot's unlock is IPSF style, it means that it's not baseband specific which in turn means it works on 4.6 BL.

Time will tell.

I believe it is bl 3.9 specific, and exploits an RSA hole specific to 3.9; don't think it will work on 4.6 or 1.1.2+ OTB phones

i believe this to be true as well. Lestat, i have 3.9, however i think i may still wait, at least for some more instructions as to what to do with geohotz method.

I don't know how that can be. Is it not open source? I figure with it being open source anyone can use it at anytime, correct? I have been watching on several forums and it seems to be working great for people.

What is more intriguing is the open source IPSF unlock. That is what people should be using and trying. I posted a tutorial in the thread if anyone is wanting to get a "real" unlock

After the update, all feature of 1.1.3 are bug free? google maps, able to install 3rd party apps, etc are working?

hey, just did it as well! Cingular, i did a combo of tutorials though, iclarified helped a lot! But yup, running 1.1.3 with new bootloader and everything runs flawless. Installed apps :chess, smb, installer, ringtones, etc:

I'm having trouble though doing the itunes way of adding ringtones. I would follow each step, making sure the song length was under 30, doing the convert and drag to ringtones. It would sync to my iphone, but it woulnd't show up at all under anything!? What gives!?

Nope you will have bootloader 4.6 which cannot be unlocked as of now.

Yes, most likely, it will be able to be jailbroken.

I'm sure it's just a matter of downgrading, upgrading to 1.1.2, and following the 1.1.3 jailbreak notes.

hmm..i have bootloader 4.6. my iphone iphone came with 1.1.2 otb and its unlocked. theres a script out now that when ran, it will take any fresh 1.1.2 or 1.1.3 iphone, jailbreak, unlock and upgrade 1.1.3 all in one go. It literally saved me hours of frustration

ZiPhone -b option will downgrade OTB 1.1.2/1.1.3 4.6 bootloader down to 3.9, so any phone now OTB can be then AnySim 1.1.3 unlocked...
