hope K818i has quad-band EDGE (that's why I put i instead of a)
if so, I'd shell out money to get
my mod'ed K790a looks more lighter, and no awful bulge

this would be interesting if I am able to flash K818 with K790i fw (needs Trad Chinese support to view HK sites, and audio files in big5 tag coding) with wotan (R1JC has K790i TC fw, works 100% with K790a without losing 850)

Doesn't the '8' at the end mean its for China? Just look at the M608(M600's China version), W908(W910) and K858(k850). If so, then its nothing new, its already been released. You can check out the specs on Sony Ericsson's site(China region). It has the K818 there already.
