Hey there folks.
Mom's phone was stolen and I need to buy her cheap replacement.
It was Motorolla RAZR V3i D&G edition.
Because we both hated motorolla for crappy features of it, i am sort of leaning towards sony ericsson.
I have owned 3 SE phones myself, and can't say anything but good things about them. Especially battery life which V3i lacked.
However because of budget limitations, we have to go with low-end phone as opposed to middle-end phone, and I have no experience with low-end Sony Ericsson phones because I've owned w600/w810/w580 only so I can't say much for their lower-end lineup.
But we're also considering Nokia/Samsung/LG/Siemens. Basically anything but Motorolla.
I've searched eBay, but there's just too many options.
Can you guys help me pick something that really stands out in the crown of other low-end phones?
Our maximum budget is $80'ish shipped and taxes in for new phone. Can be $100 MAX if the phone is really good.
There must be some sort of phone that really stands out from others in the sub-$100 price range.
Few things dont care about:
-camera
-bluetooth
-form factor
-brand
-features
-quad-band (i just need 850/1900 bands)
DO NEED:
-mp3 ringtones
-good display (not necessarily large display...as long as it has alot of colors and good quality its fine)

Here's one for you. Tiger Direct has this one for 79.99. It is a Sony with excellent resolution and MP3 tunes format. It's actually a nice phone. Here's the link...check it out.
