Just heard this from my friend who just got his gd87 upgraded at the service center (Vodafone, Sweden):

1. New firmware is A51
2. The top and bottom menu color is now red (was blue)
3. You get Tetris in addition to Hearding ****
4. The only drawback he could find was that the shortcut button (top left) is no longer configurable and is locked to the camera (sounds strange)...

Now i dont have to worry about messing up my phone by mistake trying to get A39

I have upgraded my software to A39 without camera sound and my shortcut has been locked to camera. Very funny. I really hope that someone will post A51 here.

Hello!

Before GD87 I had GD90 and with GD90 you can set the keyguard on just by pressing the same button three times. When I got my GD87 I was really "pissed off" because I couldn't do the same thing with GD87.

I don't know if this "trick" has anything to do with A51, but try this:

Push the center of "navi" button approx. 2 seconds. After that push the center of "navi" button twice. Now your GD87's keyguard is on Now I don't have to push "navi", 1 and 9 anymore

IMO, keyguard is not all that important on a flip phone.

Keyguard for GD87?Do you really need it? I don't think you need it right when it is closed?

Another cool thing which is not mentioned in the instructions (as far as I remember) is that if you're writing SMS message and you'd need some extra characters (for example ;@ or something else) just push 0 for two seconds. First "+" -sign will appear but after that all the "special" characters will appear on the screen.

I think you can get all the character list when you hold down any numpad buttons.
