since debranding the phone I have been unable to run opera mini 4 or 3 however
version 2 works fine!
When trying to run, it says verification of server certificate failed. please check the date setting in your device.
despite numerous googling and changing the format of the date and making sure that it is correct the thing still fails to start.
really want to get this working, all other apps work fine. before debranding it was not a problem! anybody have any ideas...... network is 02 (uk) phone SE K800i.

thanx in advance....... hopefully...................

I had a similar problem when my phone's date/time was not updated after a reflash. After getting the correct time/date it was fine. You may consider downloading the file K800_R8BA024_FS_EXTRACTED.RAR and install the certificates found in there.

Thanks for the answer, although i finally solved the problem by using a freinds contract sim card (o2) and re installed it and it was fine. then replaced with my o2 pay as you go sim card and all is still now fine.
o2 uk say they do not block this on pay as you go sims and I know other people using o2 pay as you go sims with opera4 have no problems what so ever.
I can only assume that for some reason it failed to load with the combination i have . i.e the problem being one of the following:-
SE K800 (fresh flash to latest firmaware)
o2 uk (they say theres no blocking but do not support opera!)
The o2 sim card itself
I have no idea which one it is, but using another sim card to install opera 4 works fine, from then on opera is no problem with pay as you go.

thanks again
