Hello,

I am thinking about buying an iphone off craiglist and buying apple care. do you know if applecare will take care of any issues i have with the battery not holding it's charge?

yes, it will, but I'm not sure if you can buy AppleCare if you're not the original purchaser. If its unlocked AppleCare won't cover you at all though.

if the original owner has apple care on it, will it transfer over to me?

in regards to unlocking it, if i use turbo sim (or the like), would it still void the warranty?

If the person who sold you the iPhone had an Apple Care account, he/she could transfer the account to you. I've sold a couple of iMacs that way.
