What does turning on the TURBO button (for and HANDSET mode) do ? The manual does not say anything more than how to set this mode.

what ut does is that if a headset has a button on it to turn to allow the talk button to be activated through the head set. EX: push the button on the headset (turbo button) once and ull hear through the headset "please say the name",puch twice redials last number dialed. Sorry maybe saying it very confusing bu i am very very tired

thanks, I thought TURBO mode was for allowing users to use one or more of the three side buttons on the 5300 to 'do things' (like answer the phone, use dial-by-name, etc. ) when the headset is connected, like my V60t did. Well, I was close. This means for me to use this function, I need to purchase another headset that has a turbo button (my current headset does not have this button).

Does all headsets that have a 'button' work with the 5300's TURBO mode or only certain model of headsets?

At my Sprint store yesterday, a salesperson told me that the Turbo button allowed me to utilize a bluetooth wireless earpiece on my 8100...very cool indeed!! I imagine that the function is the same on the 4900.

forgot to tell u can use the turbo button to answer calls and yes use it for voice dial as well..sorry i was tired my bad

to my knowledge all the headsets i have used that have turbo buttons work with the 5300(2 so far). and with other previos phones 5150,5000.

silent tone, thanks for the response and clarification. It is too back users cannot use the phone's external buttons (3) to answer calls or make calls when in TURBO mode (w/ a headset) - I was spoiled by my V60 I guess.

you can use the three buttons on the side to answer calls its just that the clam sheel has to be opened and anykey answer has to be on. or with headset in u can u use auto answer and set it to either 5 or 15 sec auto answer. maybe ui know this maybe u dont jus throwing some info out there if u wanted it.
