Just by different carriers? Sorry, just got it last night and new to it. One of many questions I'll have I'm sure.

Mostly they are but the Tilt has alot of ATT bloatware while the TytnII is just using the HTC base software.

Tilt doesn't have front camera for video calling. There is also some difference in Today screen configuration and basic software package.

So, if I find programs for the Tytn they should in theory work on the tilt?

BTW, to get rid of ATT bloatware do hard reset and right after the phone fully boots up, when the message about installing additional software in 3 second shows on the screen, do soft reset. This will prevent ATT bloatware to be installed on the phone.

Yes, they will work. By the way, this phone is also know as HTC Kaiser. And good place to start looking for additional software is here:

Can someone tell me what the bloatware is and why I don't want it? Will the phone run better without it?

This the hidden way to suck more money from you by selling you "custom" ringtones, useless services, etc.

That was the first thing I did when I got it out of the box
