Unless you make voice calls, which is 15 cents a minute. Unless of course you're a gold rewards member (by adding $100 to your balance) in which case you're charged 10 cents a minute.

Nope. It will still be $1 per day.

even though if you're a gold rewards member, voice calls are still $.15 a minute on the T-Mobile prepaid (T-Mobile To Go) and data is $1.00 a day unlimited usage for Sidekick

my friend told me that if i went into the tmobile store an got a prepaid sim they would charge me 50 bucks for activation but isnt the sim 10 bucks

what you need to do is get the 10$ sim by itself and dont tell them its for a sidekick and get it put it in your sidekick and call the company and tell them you would like to switch your togo to a sidekick prepaid.. .. tmobile trys to get u 2 waste money for no reason

ok i got the sim i call up c/s an they tell me now i need a activation card wtf is there a way around that

nope .. you need an activation pin.. what you should have done is bought the cheapest tmobile to go phone u can.. bestbuy got one for 29.99 .. comes with a sim card you coulda used and 10 bucks in prepaid credits.. ashame no one told you that sooner.. sorry

Hmm.. Years ago when I went from post paid data to prepaid data I walked into tmobile and asked for the sidekick prepaid kit. The store rep gave me a new sim and $25 bucks of airtime for $25 bucks.

i love the person over there is telling me im wrong, so did you go to tmobile and get a 10$ sim. so since they activated it already put it in your sidekick and call customer service and when they ask you what you want, say can i convert my prepaid to a sidekickprepaid and they will tell you yes it cost 1$ a day or w.e and then they will ask for ur imei number.

im ending up senping way more money then i wanted to now im off to tmobile for activation card

ok... try this.

go into tmobile.

activate a flex pay monthly plan.

it'll be 30 a month and its a prepaid account and it'll work just like a sidekick to-go

then the sim card is free and you get tech support. infact, if you'd like you can get a annual account and pay 50 (with a 50 mail in rebate) and be able to have this prepaid account and change it at any time from just sidekick data to say.... 300 myfaves for 39.99 plus 19.99 for the sk plan and have 300 whenever minutes with unlimited nights weekends and my faves and unlimited sidekick.... and that can be either on a monthly or annual prepaid account.

OH and if youre going into a CORP store, they will NOT charge you for a simcard if you are activating, whether its togo or flex to annual.

if you go to in direct, then they can charge you however they much they want.

plus a sidekick togo is 30 a month, and thats all you should be charged if you go in and ask for a sidekick activation kit.

i dont need another phone with a plan i jus want the sk for data use. but i do thank all of you guys for your support (kinder then the ppl over at the nextel forums lol) i havent had pre paid since the 6th grade(and thats been some time now lol) an that was with boost so things with prepaid are a little new to me

that's how it is here but it's 30 and comes with a 30 dollar card. sweet deal if you ask me.

ringtones, games and stuff from the catalog follows the username acct and different models ... if you download and it was on an skID, the next ID will download all the stuff back ... if you download and it was on an sk3, the next sk3 will download all the stuff back etc etc etc

If you buy ringtones on the Sidekick 3/ID/LX/any sidekick, they won't transfer to any other model.

Example... You buy a ringtone on the Sidekick 3. You then put your sim into the LX. Your ringtones/apps won't transfer. They only transfer to Sidekick 3s.
