It's going on my 2nd year. Do any of you feel like you've reached your peak?

Posted by: ivwshane

Almost six years for me. I'm looking to move up and continue in the same industry.

5, almost 6 for me, feel like im working my way out backwards tho, started as a multi unit manager for an agent, sales manager for a regional carrier and now sales rep for att. just bored with the biz and tired of the management stuff. (no i dont suck!, thanks for asking tho..)

22+years. Have been in retail, B2B, soutside sales, every carrier. The cellular business has been very good to me. I own two home in So Cal and have a great life.

I would have a hard recommending someone get into to it now as it has changed dramatically over the years.

1 year, 3 months with an ATT agent, love it, I was xferd to a location I couldn't sell at, now Im looking at doing 80 acts+ups a month!

Going on 3 years in September. I got into management only 8 months after starting as a BEUC representative. This company has been good to me in keeping me interested, which is rare for me at 23 and I realize how easy it is to move up.

Love it!

P.S. Not to mention the bonus that I'm getting is helping me stay.

i wasted 3 years of my life working at radioshack making piss poor wage. Got a job at an agent store working less hours and making almost double the money. Been at the agent for 2 months now. Although, its just a job till i get through college. Hopefully after that, i'll be out of retail

Posted by: panrispter

little over 4 years... went from sales rep up to store manager to area IT/data manager. now looking to continue on with the data side on a higher level/larger scale

Posted by: classylady78

3 1/2 years minus a couple of months when I relocated. I am burnt out for sure.

Posted by: cingman66

11 Years and counting...

I've only worked for 2 Agents over that time, but both have been great experiences...and quite profitable. There is still money to be made in this business...you just have to know where to look to find it!

I hate using acronyms on the internet, but I think its warranted this time.

LoLs, n00b!

3 years and 4 months in the same position! Student though, so don't care for management just yet.

3 years in May. It's a great job and I'm very thankful that I've had the oppurtunity. They are putting me through school and I work with a lot of great people. That being said, I don't like the way the industry is heading and I don't care for the big business corporate job. I'll be starting my own business (es) after I get out of school.

Posted by: Imissmy2160

10 years basically, different positions in corp and now sales.

Posted by: Isriam

10 years being a switch technician. mci, worldcom, at&t, telepacific

Posted by: cynical66

it'll be 10 years in november...

2 years, 6 months. Going through the interview process as we speak to move into management. Great company and they are paying my way through school, can't ask for too much more nor can I make the money I do in another field.

Posted by: EHilderbrand

2 Years. Ready to shoot myself in the face.

Posted by: ATnt-RSC

2 1/2 years. The job is the same, and as always I get a chance to play with all the shiny new toys, and the pay of decent. However, Stan Sigman, Randal Stevenson and everyone else who wants to cut my pay while they make money hand over fist can kiss my ***. Idiot "superiors" can do that too.

Posted by: WhammChalk

About 4 months for me, sitting as an SSR. It's a great job and I am very fortunate to have it. I make enough money to provide for me, wife, and baby. I previously was a waiter and a manager at a theater and I made half of what I do now. I dropped out of high school and am doing better with ATT than most of my counterparts in college. ATT treats me well.

10 years in retail in general (grocery, general merchandise, specialty retail).

4 years with RadioShack selling Sprint and Verizon, 2 years with RadioShack's Sprint Kiosk division, and going on 1 year with a locally-owned Sprint Preferred Retailer (the best year of my 10 year retail career).
