i have various folders in my gmail account (school, amazon, ebay, etc.) and my iphone now actually has these as folders but when messages come in they dont show up as new mail i have to manually go in and update each folder to see if i got a message for that folder
is there any way to fix this?? the only fix i could think would be to make it so my filters dont archive my messages but then that would defeat the point of folders all-together
any help is greatly appreciated!! thank you

I do believe, non-jailbreaking, what your asking for is not possible. Having them go into inbox first wouldn't defeat the purpose. You read the message and then you file it into the folders. If you chose to have rules, you will have to update those folders to verify as the iPhone is only showing new messages in inbox.

I didn't say it was possible. I haven't jailbroken since the first month the iPhone came out with my first iPhone. I don't think it's possible with that either, but who knows. I don't even keep up with it as hacking my iPhone doesn't interest me at all.

ah ok, well ill just switch back to pop until they come up with a fix for this
