Any updates? Seems like Rogers is gonna offer $7/month PAYG UL mobile browsing in a few days. It should work with this hack. How's it going for everyone?

I'm holding off until someone can figure out how to change the IMEI for 2.0... In the meantime I'm not using EDGE :/

Still haven't incurred any charges since June @ 1.1.4. Looks like it will take some time before we will be able to upgrade to 2.0 and still use this hack.

Somebody has to find a way to change the IMEI on 2.0 or 2.0.1. My contract is up end of the month, I want to get on PayGo with $7 a month unlimited wap. I understand the hacking involved, I just need a procedure for IMEI change for 2.0 and above. If I can get it to work, PayGo with $7 data will allow me to use my phone more, and cheaper than I ever could before.

Ok guys, so I just got my iPhone today, used 3.9BL in 1.1.4 using bootneuter, IMEI spoofed, then winpwn to 2.0.1, only activation selected, IMEI of course not overwriten, followed leegoon's instructions (preference.plist + proxy.pac), edge works, it's slow(will try other proxys), I will try to use edge a little at work and then call rogers when I get a chance to find out whether I was charged. But if anyone has this type of setup please post whether you are getting charged.

dont be so damn cheap and just pay the $30 for 6gb. i tried the $7 unlimited wap and got charged well over $1500, luckily they let me off because i told them i didnt know what was being charged.

IMEI gets reset when you upgrade to 2.0.

I haven't gotten a chance to speak with Rogers, long hold time, and I can't wait around sometimes. The reason why my IMEI didn't reset, was do to the fact I never updated the baseband or even touch the bootloader. All I selected in the Advanced tab was Activate iPhone, I'm pretty sure I stated this fact in the last post.

Ok I called Rogers, tried billing and that didn't work out, she only had info on invoice and such. But it was a lot quicker to get a hold that department. Does anyone know which department I should try next time I call for data usage, for now rather then last statement.

So if you call *#06# on your iPhone, it shows the modified IMEI on 2.0 firmware? Man, I'd have to see that to believe it.

i've been using the UL plan on my phone for the past few days
i didn't IMEI change or anything
i'm on paygo though using 2.0.1

still no way to clone imei's in 2.0 firmwares? i know it can be done if you have the old 2g phone, but i assume theres no way to do it on a new 3g iphone?

Fido can now track downloads.

any application downloaded via Cydia and installer over edge is considered as downloads.

so this plan has become a real surf only plan.

well the plan has always been a 'surf' only plan. the CSR told me even if i was to use a fido branded phone and download anything with the plan, i'd be charged.

Does anybody knows around here, what exactly does FIDO sees when you browse the net? Is it your phone's IMEI, some browser's info?
If I'm using an unlocked Symbian phone, is there any software out there, so my phone will act like an original FIDO's one?
