When typing a text message on my phone, if I push 6 then 3, the default word is "Me". This is fine. The next suggestion is the word "Nd" followed by that is "Of". WTF is Nd? It is not in my list of "My Words". Is anyone else having this problem?

Can someone else test?

My w600i didn't behave this way. Posting here first because my phone is ATT branded, wanted to narrow down if it was an ATT firmware problem or an issue with the phone itself.

The more you use T9, the less you get stuff like that. It learns what you type the more you use it. How long have you had the phone?

3 months or so. No matter how many times I use of and NEVER use ND it doesn't go away.

(Not a phone noob, I know it *should* go away, problem is it *isn't)

You could try adding "of" to your words. When you are in the text messaging screen, hit More, go to Spell Word, spell it, and it will be added to your words. Try that, and see if it still comes up as Nd.

Already tried that, no dice. Nd still comes first.

Anyone else with the same phone going to see if theirs does the same?

I just checked my wifes AT&T branded pink W580i. It doesn't do it.

Did you try turning on the next word prediction? My wife and I both have that on, and we have Word Suggestions turned off. Try that.

Just tried all four combinations.

1) Word Prediction on Suggestion off
2) Suggestion on prediction off
3) Both on
4) Both off

Nd no matter what.

Also (even though I really didn't want to) completely emptied "My Words"

Still get the Nd as the 2nd suggestion after Me.

Well, after backing all your stuff up, you could try a master reset? That might fix it, I dunno though, it might not.

Update: Master reset worked. I theorize that early on in my phone's life, I accidentally chose ND instead of OF several times without realizing it, bumping it to the top of the list. Now that it hasn't ever been chosen, it's in third place.
