URGENT !!! Hardware Problem, NEED TO RETURN !!! Questions about Canadian Returning !!

Hello everyone,
I took to get my iphone turbosimed, however it keeps freezing all the time throughout the procedure and even after many virginizings. They told me it was a hardware problem and i should return it.

A few questions to those who have returned:
1) I'm within my 14 days and have my reciept, is a straight exchange at an apple store possible???
2) My friend from North Carolina put it on his credit card ... Can i say it was a gift and that's why i have the reciept and the phone???

Any input would be appreciated since i'm planning on going down tommorow and dont' want to waste a trip.

ps - as i said in the title ... i am a Canadian going to the States for this.

It should be okay but you have to pay a 10% restocking fee. Unless you get it replaced/repaired under warranty

also do a full restore before u give it to the apple store

Just make sure you restore your phone before and if you don't have an AT&T number tell them you have not activated the phone yet.
