I am looking at getting a II and giving my son my V3xx am I going to e disappointed with how the phone picks up I never had drop calls or bad service with the V3xx but would like to get back to the PDA type phone. any advise is welcome.

Also do I have to have a PDA plan or will media max work?

you have to have a pda plan if you want to be legal.

ive heard of people with teh media max. i would just recommend getting on the right plan (pda plan) .

Its a good phone but I am dumping it. I am using it on T-Mobile. I hate that the GPS doesnt work right, sometimes works or just doesnt work at all. Not really Samsungs fault I suppose but still. I am moving on to the Samsung i780.

Yes. But it is expensive and only a select few online retailers carry it.

Ok does the BJ2 have WiFi? I thought it did and was selling it to customers under that impression and now - I've been researching it, and I can't find any information telling me if it does or doesn't have it. I'm going nuts here. Am I really that misinformed? Oh jeez I hope not. I'm still searching but if you guys know, gimme a heads up - private message or public. I don't care. Thanks to you all!

Nope no WiFi with the BJ2 or the BJ1, I got it with the data plan I think that works better than WiFi anyway.

For me there is no comparison the RAZR2 has a little better RF, but you are trying to compare apples to oranges they are 2 very different phones/smart phones. My wife is the one that has both the blackjack2 and the V9. The blackjack2 is for her business phone line and email, the V9 is for personal use, being an accountant she insisted on keeping them separate.

Another thing to look at is battery life, that is why I didnt get the V9 for myself, V9 at 3 hours talktime and the BJ2 at 7 hours talk time.

So first I think if you are looking at these 2 phones first you need to decide if you need a smart phone or not, then maybe wait for the MOTO Z9 slider IMO

I have owned several Windows Based smart phones in the past 2 years and the Blackjack II is in my top two in terms of signal strength reception and call clarity. I don't think you will be disappointed.
