I am looking for a mini-USB to 3.5 mm headphone jack converter and I found this one on eBay for Motorola cell phones. My question is: "Will this work for my HTC 8525 as well?" It appears as though it should work but I just thought I would run it by everyone here in the HTC forums. Thank you!

It probably wont. I tried using one from my SLVR on my Mogul, and it didn't do anything. No audio was passed through it.

There are many retailers online that do sell some specifically for htc, http://www.seidioonline.com/ for example.
