From that i think i have been sold a faulty phone and as i bought it on ebay i will have no redress. The only other possibility is that the guy i bought it from has "done the dirty" and reported the phone stolen and its been switched off by O2, a very expensive lesson. Any further comments or help would be appreciated, i have thought of using the hammer method, give the phone a quick tap with the hammer lol |

Enter the field test mode, dial *3001#12345#* then call. Goto Cell info, see any cell sites listed? Even an unactivated phone will report towers. If you see only one, with an RSSI of 0, then its a bad radio. Same problem I had with a friends phone a few days ago.
If it has been stolen, and its a BL 4.6 phone, use ZiPhone to change the IMEI. |
