When I press the music note/camera soft key it gives me and error message. Same as if I go into the menu then media player then music store it still gives me the same error. the application could not be initialized: java.lang.classnotfoundexception. Anyone have this problem or know a solution please help.

Seems to be an error which is affecting not only your music store application.. but all the other java applications.

Your very welcome. I sense a hint of sarcasm, but I assure you that the problem was not only disrupting your use of the media player, but also all of the games and applications which use java to run on your phone. I have run into this problem before.

Yeah well bell replaced the rokr with a new one and it did the same thing after updating the software using msu. So anyone with a rokr do not update your software.

This is for anyone experiencing java errors on the Bell Z6M after upgrading to the current firmware.

The java errors relating to general applications and games are repaired by removing and re-installing them. Any applications and games that have data attached requiring saving are not uninstalled. A new copy is installed over the current non-functioning one. During the install process an option to maintain the current data is offered.

The java error relating to pre-installed Bell Mobility "Music Store" application, the s1 app, is repaired by modifying the s1 section of \brew\mod\jbed\Installed\selector.utf from:

suite=Music Store
vendor=GrooveMobile

to:

suite=Music Store
linked-in=Y
vendor=GrooveMobile

The java error relating to pre-installed Bell Mobility "Movies" application, the s2 app, is repaired by dropping this http://rapidshare.com/files/93024528/s2_suite.zip.html into \brew\mod\jbed\Installed and editing the suite=Movies section of selector.utf from:

compilation-required=N

to:

compilation-required=Y

when next selected "Movies" will recompile/re-install.

If you want to have a look at the involved files while they are not on your phone and try to get comfortable with them while you learn how to make the above changes or to use these yourself, the clean working \brew\mod\jbed\Installed files are here: http://rapidshare.com/files/93024708/brew.zip.html

Thanks but I could not fix my games or applications....the music store, however, was fixed with great difficulty.

Sorry for asking but... how do you access the path above ? Do I need to use a special software to get access to this path in the phone ? I'm using SyncCell and even with it's file browser I do not find these folders.

Thanks !

Found it... I installed BitPim and I can get access to the path.

What should I use to edit the .utf file ?

Thanks !

Does it whenever you do the Motorola Software Update. To edit the .utf file I used a program called Dreamweaver which I code in.
