W600i repair choice (Screen or Volume)

Hi, I've got two W600i's that on their own are almost unusable....
One works great apart from the fact that the UP volume button doesn't work (and sadly I pushed the down volume too many times so I can't hear calls now). It rings fine, plays music, but the volume when on the phone is non existent.
My other one works fine apart from the fact that the LCD has decided that washed out colors are the way to go. Its not the brightness setting though everything has way too much "white" in it. Makes reading text messages impossible.
So my question is....which seems like more work? Swapping the LCD screens or the volume buttons? Can anyone see an obvious reason what the causes might be or if there is a way around the volume control??
Thanks!

well no matter wat ur basically taking both phones apart... i wouldsuggest trying to fix the volume button one first... but if tat doesn't work then replace the lcd... in the end u'll hae 1 working phone =DD

just use parts from one to fix the other and you should be set as far as not having to buy parts, I'd try an LCD swap, if I remember correctly, its just a plug in ribbon cable to attach
