I have Soft Upgraded (Nate) to 1.1.3. Should I redo the upgrade with Ziphone? I am using 3.9 bootloader.

Do you have it unlocked? And if so, what baseband version are you on?

The only issues you'll have with the ZiPhone jailbreak are similar to the Dev Team's jailbreak in that most programs haven't been updated to work with 1.1.3 yet (a lot don't even start up because of the use of the restricted 'mobile' user in 1.1.3).

The ZiPhone jailbreak has fewer issues then the Dev Team or Nate soft-updates (no common syncing problem; inability to retain passwords or play purchased music, as examples) and even items like rented movies work (which means it probably didn't mess with the Nikita/SDK framework already in place). Plus, if you need to unlock the newest baseband there is AnySIM 1.3 or GeoHot's IPSF-like unlock.

If you are on a legit AT&T iPhone plan, then most definitely I suggest updating and jailbreaking with ZiPhone.

BY THE WAY: If you do use ZiPhone, make sure you remove any mail-fixes, password-fixes, 'hidden' settings, and probably 'restore all settings' before restoring and jailbreaking, as this could help you keep from having problems with the Mail program later on.

I would do a fresh restore to 1.1.3 through iTunes, then run ZiPhone to activate and jailbreak, the unlock with Anysim 1.3.

what about a 4.6bl phone? I am also using nates 1.1.3 soft upgrade and have it unlocked with geohotz installer app for use with tmobile. Would it be better to restore to 1.1.3 and use ziphone? Or should I just stick with my current jailbreak?

I did that last night, and although it seems more stable, fewer third-party apps work with the fresh install of 1.1.3. I don't mind really, but it'd be nice iToggle would work.

how long does the install take? More than 45 sec? Does it take forever? When do I know that it is done?

It waill say wait 45 seconds.... then it will say 'Done'...Done means its umm Done

Ziphone automatically installs the installer app. Try running it again.

i have two 1.1.3 virgin phones, week 28, never done anything except updated to 1.1.3. Does not work at all. Always get stuck with the Apple logo on it and it says "loading zbri.dat".
I restored it to 1.13 and started over. No clue why it does that.

Week 28? Then they were not 1.1.2 or 1.1.3 OTB, and thus cannot be unlocked using Ziphone... you need to jailbreak and activate using Ziphone, then just use installer to download AnySim 1.3 to unlock.

Does itune have to be open or closed? Does the phone have to be in restore mode?

i just did the ZiPhone jailbreak and i have no problems i am a at&t sin user .i went down to 1.1.1 then did the process to 1.1.2 and used i tunes to up date my 1.1.3 and it works great so far ...way to go guys great work
