I tried it and it works. I have a 3.9bootloader that i just restore to 1.1.3 and run this program and everything works.

I'm new to the iPhone world (was orginally looking into a WM6 device) and I was wondering if I could ask a dumb question.
Would you mind defining exactly what the following functions do, I think I have a sense but would like to be sure

Jailbreak
Activate
Repair
Unlock (pretty sure I know this one lol)

I would really appreciate it

I was in your shoes but I actually went through a couple WM devices and finally met my iphone....needless to say I'm never going back because the iphone's so easy to learn and use....with these tutorials, you can't go wrong

this link has an option to change your imei.. why.. what benifit does that have ?

IMEI's can become corrupt. That is when you would change it. You would change it from the corrupt one to the correct one.

I ve been thinking about it for a few minutes. .

maybe changing the IMEI to a "vaild" IMEI .. thats been updated thru itunes legitly.. will make itunes give you updates with out relocking you ?

just a guess.

or make itunes think your phone is activated ?

so your changing it BACK to your own IMEI that some how got messed up ?

I have an existing Cingular account with data plan. If I upgrade to 1.1.3 & jailbreak it, it will work with my simcard & I'd be able to install 3rd party apps? Google maps, mutiple testing, & wiggle icons works aswell?
