I wonder how easy it would be to flash to the generic SE firmware. Or would the almighty at&t be angry with me not needing their MEdia Mall over a useful feature? |

So far I like the phone, lighter than I expected, love the click noise when it opens, earpiece (in office and home) is fine but haven't tried it on the train yet, haven't tried the camera either. |

Its just typical in this ongoing saga.
I ordered one as an upgrade through the website using the above link. I'll let you know if I actually get it!! Fingers crossed |

HSPDA is as fast as ever, full signal everywhere i've taken it today, and still using the original charge from the manufacturer--- which was about 30%

Now if only i can get streaming to work--- that is my only issue with the unbranding process... (This is just an AT&T issue)

Once you purchase your credits, you need to download their client and install the USB flash drivers. If you don't want to tinker with the drivers, just download Sony Ericsson's Update Service and run it all the way until it just tells you your phone already has the latest software. That whole process will automatically install the drivers necessary for the DaVinci client to run properly. At that point, log in to the Da Vinci client, follow the on screen instructions to identify your phone, then click on update firmware and choose the latest. Make sure you have decent battery and let it do it's thing.
Pretty simple, just takes some patience... The end result is amazing tho! Now if only i can get streaming to work--- that is my only issue with the unbranding process... (This is just an AT&T issue) |

If the standby time is really that bad, then I'll skip on that phone... In my area it's all 3G with pretty good coverage and signal levels, and I had Samsung A717 before briefly (for a week or so), and noticed that just stand-by time lasted less than two full days... Got rid of it, not interested to charge it every night. -albertr |

Many people that are going to base their phone purchase on battery life should settle on buying nothing but GSM phones to get the experience they are used to. I for one am probably going to sacrifice battery life for the quality and network speed of UMTS/W-CDMA over a GSM handset. I think the z750a is a fine mid range handset that should perform admirably for people. |

Not looking for anything less than that. In fact, it was so much buzz on how Z750 is supposed to be better than Qualcomm-based phones... Is it, really? 36 hours of stand-by time doesn't look very promising... ryder1650, do you use the AT&T branded firmware which came on the phone originally? Or did you flash it to the unbranded one? -albertr |

I would say is decent, i can use is it moderatly and have it at 3/4 or 5/8 full at night, i charge every two days, its not good to charge too much or to use it until it turns off.
Also people who have unbranded it whats your experience with it? any lost or gained functionalty, i heard someone say GPS is enabled, is this aGPS or the real one? Can you still stream vids like from youtube or tinytube? I hope its real GPS because the google maps my location is never accurate for me, its no where near me, and to tell you the truth i wont want to relly on it for actuall directions. |
