I have a 1.1.1 4.01BL unlocked/jailbroken iphone and I figure I might as well go up to 1.1.3 now. Can I just update normally through itunes to 1.1.3 and then use the ziphone to unlock/jailbreak it or are there other steps I need to do?

yes I am wondering the same thing. From what I have read there is some apps that don't work with 1.1.3. But I would like to update using itunes then just jailbreak, unlock, etc....

well i am pretty sure there is no 4.01bl. i believe you are talking about the baseband 4.01.13_G. you have either 4.6bl or 3.9bl.

however either way, yes you should be able to upgrade to 113 in itunes and then use ZiPhone 2.0. search around some to gather the necessary knowledge.

ack, you are right, i do have 4.01.13_g .. How do I tell if I have 4.6bl or 3.9bl or would that make a difference in the upgrade/ziphone unlock?
