So my mom bought me a SE W580i from the AT&T store. I was going to debrand it but as turn on the phone and played with it, I realize it was already debranded I THINK. It has some flash themes but they are in CHINESE so I have no clue what they say and same with the ringtones. I do know they are flash themes because when I apply them, they have the strobes, splate and etc. The cellphone also comes with Lumines and SIM 2. I pretty much think this is debranded but is pretty weird coming from a AT&T store. My firmware says CXC1123476, R6BC002. So with such information I have some questions.
1. Should I still flash the phone to another firmware? I was gonna try Matt's suggestion in previous threads of
File System - W580_R6BC002_FS_AMERICA_1_RED52.fbn
Main Firmware - W580_R6BC002_MAIN_GENERIC_LA_RED52.mbn
Customization - HB1-06_Gen_CDA102568_106_R8A_GENERIC_AMERICA_1.zip

2. If I do reflash my phone, will I still be able to keep the games and also would the themes be on there or do I still need FAR to insert it? If the themes come with the reflash will it be in English? I did try setting the language to English and every is English except for the themes and ringtone files.

3. Since my phone already came debranded, would it still void my AT&T warrenty?

I have all that on my Rogers debranded W580i so it sounds like it is debranded. Odd from a store like that, unless it was a 3rd party dealer store and there is also a chance it was a return that should not have been sold. It has happened to me before too. The games are standard with SE but most companies take that off. I think AT&T disables flash themes too so I think it is debranded but if you debrand again the games will still be there and I am sure the flash themes will be too

AT&T branding does disable flash menus. I am guessing that you got sold a return.

Is it physically AT&T branded on the outside?

Yes it says AT&T on the phone and on the box also, but it does not have those AT&T Music and Video on the phone like on my old phone.

More than likely that is debranded already. I would just go with it, and leave it as is, since you wanted to debrand it anyway.

How exactly do I remove the themes and add the themes in english and same with ringtone? Do I just use the usb or do I need FAR?

I dont think its possible to copy from phone to computer (from the FS) on db2020 cid 52 yet.

Thats strange that only those things are not in english.
If you flash it those will be gone..

Iv debranded lots of att phones and never had a problem with warranty yet.. (just send it in as is -- NOT IN STORE). They are going to send it to SE and have them reflash it anyway. I don't think they care.

Well the language only contains Chinese and English. Too bad I can't read Chinese even though I'm one, I'm very americanized as you see. I was gonna reflash it using those suggestions before but I tried to find the files and it was harder than I thought, so I'm deciding to keep the debranded one I have. Right now I'm trying to learn to use FAR to put some flash themes on my phone. It is kinda weird since my phone came debranded, my sisters LG Shine still has the AT&T MALL etc.. >< Any tips on what else I can do? I did have a lot of questions before and still do, I just can't get them organize right now.

you can flash it with the America firmware and have English. Or take it back and get the at&t branded and just enable the flash themes, if you want att mall and what not.

more info on what? jdflasher? Its a plugin for FAR that gets you into the FS of you phone.. Its a really neat program... Look in the SE modding section.

Yeah or you could just use myphoneexplorer to put themes and stuff on there. Or you could use XS++ v3.1 if you need to get into the file system for stuff like walkman skins. But for themes all you need to do is put them on the phone. Hell, SE provides software to do just that themselves, although I find MyPhoneExplorer easier to use and more powerful.

Yeah...I am pretty aware of that...although I wasn't sure if OP needed flash themes installed or regular themes...so I presented solutions for both options.
