I really want to know if this accessory would be for new gen phones, or could work on this gen like k800, w580 etc. with a firmware update and this enabler.

Yes, this would definitely open more options as to which phone to pick. If this thing comes out, I'm getting the M600i for sure. I imagine it would drain battery life like crazy though.

Why don't you just get a P1i?... its a m600i with WiFi and a good camera
