My 8525 is constantly opening the Start menu by itself

I've had this one (a refurb from XBM) for about 2.5 weeks and it just started happening today. No new applications or software has been added since I got it.

Today it started thinking that I am always tapping on Start and opening the Start menu (I am quite sure it thinks that I am tapping it because I have the setting to play the sound when I tap the screen and it's clicking like crazy). The Start menu is popping up all by itself and it's getting in the way of what I am doing.

I've tried tapping elsewhere on the screen but I am not sure if it is working because the Start menu keeps popping up. So I can't even run Sprite to back it up before doing a hard reset.

I've popped out the battery and rebooted multiple times and it doesn't help.

Anyone have any ideas?

Having kind of the same problem here any help will be very much apreciated.
The problem with mine it keeps thinking I am tapping the upper right corner for some reason and it wont let me me do anything elese.

I had a prob with my touch screen freaking out a few days ago and turns out a piece of ...something was lodged between the screen and where the housing starts at the edge of the screen
