No vibrate or sound coming from Iphone

I have no sound or the vibrate function coming from my Iphone. I have checked all the settings. It will not play any music, ringtones or when i switch the phone to vibrate, it will not vibrate. Any suggestions?

Try reseting all settings on the phone. settings -> general -> reset -> reset all. i've heard of it solving similar problems sometimes & sometimes it doesnt
