What are these "Kitchens" I hear about??

I have read places that some people have KITCHENS that they use and update for their phones?

By the context, it seems that they are talking about a set of files that they can quickly reload to their phone in case of a hard reset or a loss of a phone...

Is there a certain way to do this that reloads all files, or is it just a folder with files dropped into it? Once copied back to the device, need to be reloaded...

I am hoping that it is some sort of automated setup of a phone so that in case of loss or hard reset, you can drop a file on the mem card and reboot to return your files...

Is there an autorun.inf or bat file that runs at startup?

Thank you.

That's referring to rom cookers, chefs, etc.

People who modify/tweak windows and reg settings, applications etc and stick them in a nice pot and mix it all up and cook us up a rom file that we flash onto our device that out performs the garbage that any carrier, or HTC for that matter, puts on our devices.

xda-developers.com my friend.

There is an application called tierautoinstall ors omething that you can look for. you place all your cab files on your sd card and after you flas your device, you can check off the cabs you want to install and it installs them all at once.

very helpfull for us flash-aholics who flash devices constantly and need to put our apps back on.

files and what not ca be backed up via sprite backup or something, but to be honest i just have everythign on my PC and sync it back when needed, as i dont have to much to keep
