Hey guys, since W580i isn't one of the phone model choices in XS++, what is the closest phone model firmware that can be used with a 580?

The phone model choice is for the customization pack. The MAIN and FS flash files you obtained seperately. You can try downloading a W580 customization pack for free at iprotebe.cz (W580_CDA102568_2_R8A_GENERIC_CENT_EUROPE.rar ), and tell XS++ to use your own customization. Otherwise download from topsony.com ($4).

Ok, I am having this issue as well. I keep getting a configuration error message when i start my phone up after flashing it. What is going on? Please tell me i didn't brick my brand new phone.

If anybody can help me I will pay you!

You didn't use the right custpack... look at my post in this forum that says "lots of firmware files", download a main, fs and custpack of the same region... then stick it in XS++, it should be fine....

The files i used are:

W580_R8BA024_FS_C_ASIA_RED52.fbn
W580_R8BA024_MAIN_GENERIC_LA_RED52.mbn

Are those good? I am in america btw.

What custpack do i need? If i get this working I'll paypal you some money for your troubles.

I used the ones i posted and it worked for me. I tried one of the files you gave and it gave me an error message on the website (blank page).

Now i need to figure out how to install flash themes. I cant find a thorough guide.

I am told in a couple of other forums that W580_R8BE001_MAIN_NAM_1_LA_RED52 might be better with the America2 filesystem file.. you wouldn't happen to have that, would you, RLP06?

I thought I would give that a try before giving up on this sim-lock removal deal.

@ op i reread ur oringal quesiton and just noticed u asekd for the cloest model for xs++ i seleced w850 for the patch unlock and it worked perfectly... do i get money

Alvin, what file combination did you use under the w850 choices? At the time I didn't have my own files to drag in, got those later, so I was stuck with the XS++ built-in files.

lolz i was just kidding about tat anyways lolz.. i used the patch unlock tutorial in the unlock forum and the debranding files from griffen or w/e in the tutorial for unbrading lozl just wanted to to unlock debrand and sell so didn't really care wat files i used lolz...

Yeah, i ended up using the RBE001 firmware. I'm not sure of what it's differences are to the others, but it works very nicely.

I recommend the active black flash menu. It is very cool.

One thing i have noticed is that fowarding calls is messed up. It fowards my busy to calls to a random number and i cant change that.

I would like to unlock my fone. But I haven't figured out what firmware I have yet. Would I be best debranding first to one of the above and then inlocking the fonr?

My software is R6CA001 ... What do I need to do to find my version incase I need it?? Does this mean anything to anyone??
