Strange Blackberry.net Messages on my bill

The following is an example of an item showing on my ATT data usage:

02/13 02:41 AM blackberry.net Internet/MEdia Net Sent 145KB

I'm at a loss to know what it is. Similar entries shows a few times a day. In each case I'm sure I was not using the phone. This one in particular as I had not used the phone for about 5 hours and did not for about 6 hours after.

8310 on ATT and BIS

Searched and searched and found nothing. ATT customer service no help.

Do you have push email activated? The AT&T records show sent regardless of the direction of the data path.

Yes, but as noted in my question, I'm not using my phone and wasn't for a number of hours before and after the "sent" blackberry.net.

Push email is done without any action by the user. The email is either sent to the phone as soon as it arrives on the server or at regular intervals. You do not have to initiate a push email operation from your phone once you set it up.

Thanks, But I am well aware of how push email works. I am receiving 100 to 200 emails daily. I am only seeing one or two of these blackberry.net "sends". I have attempted to match them against emails sent by me or received thru one of my pushed accounts and they are not even close to the corresponding time frame.

To this point, no one on here, on blackberryforums or at ATT support can explain what they are.

They only started when I set up a att.blackberry.net email account although I never use the account to send or receive.

If you have unlimited data why does it matter?

Posted by: tparcell

Is it a problem to me? No.
Is it a quest for knowledge for the answer to something I don't understand? Yes

do you have any 3rd party programs on your berry? they could be accessing the network for data.
