hey so i bought a sidekick lx on craigslist and well everytime i turn the phone on some user Id and pasword is asked to be able to use the internet and email and msngr, how can this be disabled or how can you set up a new user id and password.?

Take your sim card out, while on the jump screen hit menu>settings>system info.. Then
Hit menu/shift/x ... erase the flash memory from the phone
then hit menu/shift/r to clear the previous sign in info.

for some reason it still showing up the previouse user's ID...
and asking me for Password... is there a step im missing?

yeah that doesn't techinically work anymore. you have to call tmobile and have them remove all of it or if you don't want that hassle, then let the battery die.

yeah i called the t-mobile company and they say like the internet is down for sidekick lx or maybe all sidekicks i forgot, so yeah i cant access anything that needs that internet and they say they dont know when it will be fixed.. and i just got it yesterday and its the first phone i ever got so now im kinda peeved...... is anyones elses sidekick or any sidekick cant access the internet and can only call and text.

are you sure you called tmobile?? i HIGHLY doubt theyd just tell you that danger (sidekick) servers are down and they dont know when they'll be back up. That seems quite unprofessional to say the least.

I've had some sporadic issues with data access but my Slide has worked pretty well since I got it on Wednesday. I had the registration screen within minutes of adding the Sidekick feature.

The only thing I can think of to do is call Sidekick support and have them take you through completely wiping your device. Also have them verify that the IMEI of your LX is showing as being attached to your account. As a poster above mentioned, they have to do something on their end to enable the registration screen so you can set up a user name and password.
